Flying Ethel

New for 2009, Flying Ethel is a load bike with style. Based on the successful European 'bakers bike' concept, this new model incorporates Tri-Sled's simple, compact and robust design principles into a versatile cycling format.

Flying Ethel offers urban dwellers a practical, high quality and family friendly vehicle to suit a range of applications that extend beyond the reaches of a conventional bicycle.

If you're interested in reducing your eco-footprint, you can't go passed Flying Ethel — the only Australian designed and manufactured load-carrying vehicle of its kind.

Tri-Sled built our first Flying Ethel in early 2009 for new parents Nina Keath and Eddie Banks. You may have spotted them around Melbourne with their baby, Lilyanna, or carrying shopping and gardening supplies back to their home in the northern suburbs. Nina and Eddie named the inaugural model 'Flying Ethel' in honour of a cleaning lady featured in a bizarre advertisement who made her way into the hearts of Nina's family. It's been a number of months since Flying Ethel began spreading her wings around the streets of Melbourne, and spreading smiles on the faces of fellow cyclists and Melbournites. We think it's time to give her some friends!
