Racing Fairings

A big part of the research and development at Tri-Sled is concentrated on new fairing ideas and products. A quick glance at our news page will give you some idea of what we've been busy working on lately! All of our fairing products are the result of extensive racing R&D in tough Australian conditions. In addition to our one piece full-composite fairing designs, we also offer a range of cheaper and more flexible options for schools, from fairing kits through to components and parts.

Sorcerer Series 1 fairing

The Sorcerer Series 1 is the first commercial fairing design in Tri-Sled’s Sorcerer series. This fairing is designed to fit a 600mm track width trike and has good clearances.

Sorcerer Series 2 fairing

Tri-Sled’s award-winning Sorcerer Series 2 fairing is our most current commercially available design. This fairing holds several Australian records and won the Australian International Pedal Prix in 2002. The Sorcerer Series 2 fairing weighs approximately 7kg and is constructed from composite fibres. This fairing can be manufactured with a soft-top or enclosed windscreen and is the basis of Tri- Sled’s first production velomobile: the Sorcerer.

The Sorcerer Series 2 fairing is designed to fit the Tri-Sled Apex Racing Trike and can be purchased as a complete package.

Fast Back fairing kit

Tri-Sled offers a fairing kit designed to suit our Fast Back Racing Trike.

The fairing kit includes:

3 sheets of white 3mm corflute
1 sheet of PETG
1 front blow-molded windscreen
1 fibreglass nose cone
1 pack of zip ties

Formula Tri-Sled fairing kit

New for 2007-08!

The Formula Tri-Sled fairing kit is designed to fit Tri-Sled’s latest addition to our racing models: the Formula Tri-Sled Racing Trike. The corflute fairing kit is available in white, black, blue, red or yellow and can easily accommodate stickers or logos. Two-tone corflute (as pictured) is available on request and is recommended for easy assembly. Tri-Sled can also arrange custom stickers on request for an additional charge.

The Formula Tri-Sled roll-frame has been specifically designed to support the fairing kit. Owners of other racing vehicles, including the Tri-Sled Fast Back Racing Trike, will need to modify their roll-bars to support the fairing.

Fairing components and parts

In addition to composite fibre fairings and fairing kits, Tri-Sled also offers a range of materials and components for schools or home buildings who are designing or building their own fairing.
